What is “Bricks in the Breeze” (BitB)?

A Lego building and Kite flying Community hub in the Cairns Pier Shopping Centre. A place where people of all ages and backgrounds can meet and connect through building Lego or learn more about the art of Kite flying.

 

What does BitB offer?

Need a break, want to keep your children active, engaged and away from the screen, drop in and get your kids building, while  you can have a break. Or get involved in

​

- speed building.

- by plan set building (with different difficulty grades)

- freestyle building.

- Get involved in bigger building Projects over several days.

- learn everything about Kite flying and get introduced to the activity of kite flying.

- children’s birthdays or Group activities.

 

 

What is the vision?

To create a local space where everyone feels welcome and can connect through different activities. Lego building and flying/piloting kites are the 2 passions which sparked the creation of this place, hence “Bricks in the Breeze”. This is just the beginning of what BitB, could become in the future. The idea to host monthly Kite flying Events in different local spots from Mission Beach to Port Douglas. Regular Lego Speed building competitions. Lego Auction Events for limited Lego sets. Brick and Click and regular kite flying sessions on the esplanade to just to name a few.

 

At this point in time the charge is 20$ per hour.
