G'day, everyone!

As the wet season gears up in full steam, I find myself reflecting on the whirlwind of the past few months. To all of you who’ve recently joined the journey of Bricks in the Breeze, a warm welcome!

What started as a spark of an idea just 6 to 8 weeks ago has quickly grown into a movement-a dream to create an inclusive space and community hub where the people of Cairns can come together to socialize, play, and unleash their creativity. It's a place to brainstorm new ideas and collaborate on ways to bring lasting social value to our beautiful city.

As a social trader, my mission has always been to spark positive change. I believe in the mantra: Think global, act local. Through Bricks in the Breeze, I hope to inspire our community to not only enhance our shared spaces but also to connect with larger movements that promote inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability.

Fast forward to today, and that dream is taking shape in one of the most iconic locations in Cairns: The Pier. To say I’m excited would be an understatement. I’m both thrilled and deeply humbled by what we’ve already accomplished together.

Bricks in the Breeze is more than just a hub; it’s a vision for the future. One day, I hope it will become a thriving space that:

• Empowers the community through inclusive events, from LEGO building workshops to kite-flying tours and technology-driven activities.

Turning this vision into a tangible space has been no small feat, and I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who has supported this journey so far. Together, we’re not just building bricks—we’re building bridges to a brighter future.
